DREAMS

CHILDHOOD

Childhood Dreams is a dance film inspired by Plato’s Theory of Forms and Elizabeth Gilbert’s concept of ideas as sentient entities.

The film explores the tension between the perfect, intangible world of ideas and the imperfect, ever-changing physical world where those ideas are brought to life. Through the creature-like Glaukon — a sentient being representing ideas seeking human collaborators — the film visualizes the overwhelming, chaotic, and often tormenting process of creativity. Choreography within the film portrays the struggle of resisting, accepting, and manifesting an idea, blending mechanical precision and raw emotional expression to capture the mind’s battle between inspiration and reality.
